Laboratory Technician

CAMRIS is seeking exceptional candidates for the Laboratory Technician positions. S/he will support the mission of The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and The National Institutes of Health (NIH) by conducting and supporting basic, translational and clinical research to better understand, treat, and ultimately prevent infectious, immunologic, and allergic diseases at the Rocky Mountain Laboratories in Hamilton, Montana.
Responsibilities
For Junior Roles, Duties Include:
Perform laboratory techniques relating to scientific research Prepares specimens and equipment for use.
Perform advanced equipment maintenance.
Perform sample management and storage.
Analyze, documents and reports on all procedures performed.
Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and initiates purchase orders.
Review scientific literature via online resources.
Train staff in performing routine laboratory tests/procedures.
For Senior Level Roles, Duties Include:
Perform laboratory techniques relating to scientific research.
Prepare specimens and equipment for use.
Operate various laboratory machines and instruments.
Perform advanced equipment maintenance.
Perform sample management and storage.
Analyze, documents and reports on all procedures performed.
Maintain inventory of laboratory supplies and initiate purchase orders.
Review scientific literature via online resources.
Learn new laboratory techniques and procedures.
Train staff in performing advanced laboratory tests/procedures
Qualifications
For Junior Level Roles:
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Sciences or a related discipline.
Minimum Experience:
Four (4+) years of experience working in a laboratory environment.
Demonstrates advanced experience in performing biological research.
Demonstrates knowledge in managing and disposing of hazardous waste.
For Senior Level Roles:
Minimum Education:
Master's degree in Biology, Life Sciences or a related discipline. Two (2) years of specialized experience plus a BA/BS degree is equivalent to a Master's degree.
Minimum Experience:
1-3+ years of experience in a related field.
Demonstrates advanced experience in performing biological research.
Demonstrates knowledge in managing and disposing of hazardous waste.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
