MSC is currently searching for a Logistics Technician to support the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This opportunity is a permanent, full-time position with MSC and is on-site at the NIH in Hamilton, MT.

Main Duties and Responsibilities Independently, and not as an agent of the Government, the Contractor shall provide qualified and experienced personnel to support a full range of activities, including new and in-process scientific research projects, program deployment and implementation, ongoing management and operations, and financial support, and any other related professional activities necessary to conduct NIH business. Functional areas include, but are not limited to, scientific research and analysis support, bioinformatics and computational biology, scientific and technical writing, scientific and medical domain expertise, data management, technical support, project management, finance and accounting, information systems support, and program management. Enter database information to update inventory of all radioactive materials at the laboratory on a monthly basis. Assist with surveys and other decommissioning activities for certified release of former radioactive work areas in laboratory buildings. Ship and receive radiation survey meters to vendors for calibration annually. Assist with preparation of training materials for instructing personnel in basic radiation safety awareness. Monitor satellite hazardous chemical waste accumulation areas in individual labs on a quarterly basis. Occasional assistance with collecting hazardous chemical satellite containers may be required. Maintain universal waste collection sites (fluorescent bulbs, batteries, waste oil, etc.), perform recordkeeping and arrange for shipment to licensed recycle vendors. Assists Incinerator Operators with scheduling and budgeting for preventative maintenance of equipment, equipment replacement, and miscellaneous activities such as painting, duct cleanouts, settling tank pumping, etc. Continually track incinerator operation/performance to ensure compliance with permit limits. Assist operators in trouble shooting and repairing equipment when incinerator malfunctions occur and with preparations for annual on-site air quality inspection performed by the EPA and MT DEQ.
Position Requirements Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. 3
years of professional experience managing laboratory receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations/logistics Professional experience with NIH laboratory operations is preferred Select Agent Clearance required Class A CDL and Fedex Dangerous Goods Shipping certifications preferred

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
